ABOUT US

veterinarians

We are 3 veterinarian friends, who have been working a few years in the “Clinic small animals’ sector” in United Kingdom. Due to the lack of a veterinarian work force in the UK and the difficulties to work there after Brexit, we decided to provide an educational and free service to our veterinarian colleagues.

Our objectives are to provide you with valuable advice and to ease you into the UK working market as smoothly as possible.

I finished my veterinary studies in 2015 at Alfonso X El Sabio University, in Madrid. I spent a few months looking for a job, but unfortunately the veterinarian job market in Spain doesn’t offer great working conditions, therefore I decided to come over to England, which proved to be the best option for personal and professional growth.

Due to my low level of English at the time I started working in the food safety sector in London for 10 months, while I did volunteer work at the weekends, at small animal centres to get work experience.

When my level of English improved, I started working for Rase Veterinary Centre, in which I started doing first opinion consultations and surgery mainly.

Currently, I’m working towards a Surgery Postgraduate on Small Animals.Even though it was a difficult decision to come to the UK, the reward and the personal development is worth the effort invested.

Born and brewed in Lebrija, Seville; I graduated back in 2015 from the UEX. Then I worked in Spain for a few years, where I took part in 2 rotatory internships, 2 postgraduates in minimally invasive Surgery.

After this, I decided to move to pastures new and come over to the UK to improve my working conditions and the opportunities to grow as a person and veterinarian, which seemed to be more favourable at the time.

I have worked in Wolds Veterinary clinic since 2019, where I have been performing tasks with a certain degree of responsibility on first opinion consultations and surgery. I’m also studying for a postgraduate in Small Animal Surgery.

The unique experience of working in the UK and being a Co-Founder of “Recruiting Minds” makes me feel fulfilled as a person and a professional, as it allows me to grow professionally every day.

I finished my veterinary studies in 2015, at Alfonso X El Sabio University, in Madrid.

My adventure as a veterinary surgeon started in Spain where I worked doing night emergencies service for 1 year.

Due to bad working conditions in Spain and thanks to my colleague and friend Jaime, I made the decision to come to England to become a practising veterinarian.

In 2017 I started working at Rase Veterinary Centre where I am still working today.

My main duties are as first opinion consultant and surgeon. Currently I’m continuing my studies with a certificate in internal medicine for Small Animals.

Moving to the UK has definitely had a positive impact on my personal life and in my professional career; hence playing a big part in my decision to stay in the UK to continue practising as a veterinarian.
