Accredited Universities

After Brexit, RCVS based its criteria on EAEVE (European Association of Establishments for Veterinary Education) to recognize or accredit the European faculties.

This organization provides periodic evaluations of the university or faculties; hence some requirements must be met. Universities that don’t meet these established requirements, for various reasons, won’t obtain this recognized qualification and will not be accredited for RCVS.

If your university or faculty is not recognized by the RCVS, you still can still apply for your Visa to work in UK, but the process will be a bit harder and lengthier. This will involve the realization of an exam with various knowledge questions about all the veterinarian degree subjects studied, this will also be costly in time and money, being the average to study 1 year and £ 2,500 fee.
